Welcome to Saints Church Melbourne, a community following the way of Jesus on sacrificial-mission to see His Kingdom come in Melbourne, as it is in heaven. Founded in 2020 by a team sent down from the Gold Coast to pioneer, from scratch, a new church in Melbourne.

We believe, as the Apostle Paul writes in the introduction of his letters, calling them ‘saints’ (Greek: hagios. Set apart by (or for) God, holy, sacred).

That all are called to be saints.

We are reclaiming this word for the people of Melbourne. The word ‘saints’ is more a verb than a noun. It shows action and purpose more than title. The word doesn’t describe a perfect person, in fact it describes the juxtaposition of imperfect people made right through Jesus and the finished work of the cross. It doesn’t just end with a juxtaposition. The title ‘saints’ is a calling to God’s people to live as holy, set apart ambassadors for the Kingdom. Saints are conduits for the Kingdom of Heaven merging with the kingdom of our world.

The Apostle Paul, in using this specific word, was calling back to Exodus 19:6 (“you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation”). He was reminding his readers of the original covenant and call of God.

We believe there is a call in this word for you too, to enter into the way of Jesus and the mission of His saints.
